Summer is here in Minneapolis, it’s evident with the packed outdoor patios in uptown, the business elite taking a stroll outside the downtown sidewalks, and the 10 million bikes outthere vying for their share of the road.  But the epitomy of summer in the cities is heading on down to Lake Calhoun and seeing half the cities population walking, jogging, biking, and checking out the opposite sex (or same?) around the Lake.  Its a buzzing hive of activity, and nothing gets me more amped than to see a city thriving again.

I was gonna take a nap at home and figured, what….the….heck….go to the beach and sleep! or nap or whatever.  So I did.  But o was no ordinary day, we had gusts of up to 40 miles per hour, so I had to get in those waves.  Frickin cold btw, but as a man of the north, there was no option whatsoever.  A man has gotta do man stuff when called.

So, as I was bein all manish in the 30 degree water and wind gusts, there was a pregnant woman who’s belly was about to explode, and she was having the time of her life.  Laughing.  Other children were playing too.  Laughing.  I was laughing.  That pregnant woman’s man was back on the shore.  Frowning

haha, men and women are so wierd, but I’m so thankful its summer in the city.

I love that so much! I can just picture it..one of those priceless moments that you could never have planned but somehow find yourself in all of a sudden, and all you can do is smile, inside and out.

:) I’m glad you decided not to take a nap and do “manish” things instead. And right now you are flying to Denmark, but hopefully you aren’t sitting right next to a pregnant woman whose belly is about to explode because that could get extremely awkward… ;)

You need to post at least a 1/4 of a sentence telling us how you are! ha ;)
